Writing Your Best Man Speech

The best man is expected to give a funny, positive and light hearted speech that will keep the guests amused and entertained. Therefore, it can feel like a lot pressure to try and fulfill these expectations when preparing your speech. Below is an outline of how you could structure your speech with some ideas and of what you could include.

Introduction / Thank the Groom

Introduce yourself and thank the groom for choosing you as his best man. It is also your duty to thank the groom for his toast on behalf of the bridesmaids.

Share a Story / Anecdote About the Groom

This is where you can entertain your audience with a funny story about the groom. Perhaps some misbehaviors from his past, you don't want to embarrass the groom just have a laugh at his expense.
